Edward Penner

Edward Penner has spent the last eighteen years working in the Risk Management field, from Private Label card lending to Banking. He spent 13 years at Canadian Tire Acceptance, as Manager and then Director of Credit Risk. During this time he provided oversight to the New Accounts, Account Management and Fraud Management areas. In addition he developed many credit scorecards, and installed several risk management platforms.
Currently Edward is Senior Vice-President of Product Risk Management for CIBC. He oversees the risk management of the consumer lending areas: Mortgages, Loans, Lines of Credit, Card Products and Small Business.
Edward has a strong math and systems background, through his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
